A jury has convicted a Bellport man of murder for fatally shooting another man in a driveway.
Authorities say 31-year-old Shati Smith was found guilty of killing Lee Houpe by shooting him 10 times in 2022.
Smith escaped to Virginia before he was ultimately arrested.
He faces up to 25 years to life in prison when sentenced.
