A Hicksville woman says she will file a lawsuit against Wal-Mart after she was trampled in the deadly Black Friday stampede that killed security guard Jdimytai Damour.
Leana Lockley, 28, was five months pregnant at the time of the stampede, and says she was shoved and pushed down onto her knees as frantic shoppers tried to get inside the Valley Stream Wal-Mart. She says she screamed to those around her that she was pregnant, but no one acknowledged her. She suffered minor injuries, including bad bruising to her face.
Lockley was most concerned with the health of her unborn baby, who doctors say is doing well. Lockley is expecting a girl due in April.
Lockley's lawyer says he will file the lawsuit against Wal-Mart in the next few weeks. He, like other lawyers on cases surrounding the stampede, says management should have better prepared the store.
