An NYPD officer from Bellmore reunited with the woman whose life he saved 16 years ago.
Detective Carlos Santos saw a man carrying an unconscious little girl screaming for help.
Sofhia Cochegrus was 4 years old at the time and was choking on a piece of gum.
Santos performed the Heimlich maneuver and saved her life.
Sofhia studies criminal justice now and hopes to one day join the NYPD.
