A music teacher at W.T. Clarke High School in Westbury is accused of receiving and distributing child sex abuse images.
Michael Fazio had computer files with names depicting sexual acts on children as young as 7 years old, according to court documents.
Fazio also "surreptitiously videoed and photographed female students from behind while purportedly engaging in music instruction," according to U.S. Attorney Bradley King.
He was released on $500,000 bond.
Conditions of his release include home confinement and that he reside apart from his pregnant wife and only have supervised contact with his soon-to-be-born child due in three months.
"Mr. Fazio voluntarily surrendered and has imposed a plea of not guilty. He was released on conditional bail," Fazio's defense attorney said in a statement.
