1h agoA pedestrian is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle on Tuesday afternoon.
The 54-year-old woman was hit by a pickup truck on Mill Road near Buffalo Avenue in Freeport, Nassau police say.
The 82-year-old driver was not hurt and remained at the scene, according to police.
The victim was taken to an area hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
