A Bay Shore man who raped a minor and sex trafficked numerous women has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.
Danny St. Louis, 45, pleaded guilty in May to rape, sex trafficking and attempted sex trafficking charges.
Prosecutors say he supplied drugs to his victims to manipulate and control them.
He admitted to getting a 13-year-old girl addicted to cocaine and repeatedly sexually assaulting her. The abuse continued until Oct. 8, 2023, when she ran away from a residential drug treatment facility and was found by police in a hotel room with him.
Prosecutors say St. Louis used similar tactics to control two other adult women, coercing them into prostitution for his financial gain. He also allegedly targeted a fourth victim, a 20-year-old woman to whom he had supplied crack cocaine, but she managed to escape from a hotel and contact her family.
St. Louis was arrested on March 14, 2024, after agreeing to provide a buyer with sex from one of the women, along with drugs, in exchange for money.
His prison term is followed by 10 years of post-release supervision, and he must register as a sex offender.
