A Calverton woman is accused of driving drunk and high when she plowed into a pole with her son in the car.
Police say Lynette McDonough was on Middle Road in Calverton at around 12 p.m. Thursday when she hit a utility pole.
Both she and her 9-year-old son were injured in the crash. The boy was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital. There is no word on his condition.
Police say McDounough was drunk and high on drugs.
She is being charged with violating Leandra's Law.
