A White Plains man has been arrested in a hit-and-run that left one man dead in Greenburgh.
Police say 51-year-old Theodore Gumbs was behind the wheel of the car that hit 23-year-old Darryl Chung along South Road last June.
Gumbs is accused of fleeing the scene and leaving Chung to die.
Greenburgh Police Chief Chris McNerney says his detectives tirelessly worked the case. A surveillance camera near the scene captured a 2015 gray Honda Pilot. That same vehicle was later traced back to Gumbs' White Plains home.
Gumbs was remanded to the Westchester County Jail.
Greenburgh police say charges against Gumbs may be upgraded after consulting with the district attorney's office.
