This week, Caroline ranks the beaches in Montauk on a scale of one to 10 as far as best beaches go!

Montauk does not feature one, but two beaches.

Residents who like to spend their summer days at Kirk Park Beach, also known as IGA Beach, say they love it because it has natural sand -- it has never had sand from other beaches brought onto it -- and because of its wide-open spaces.

There are no concession stands, but the beach is a few minutes away from Montauk Center, which features plenty of spots to eat, drink and shop.

For those looking to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Montauk Highway, Hither Hills State Park is a must-visit.

Residents say Hither Hills State Park is the perfect spot to get away from everything on a busy summer holiday. It is a private beach that beachgoers can just walk up to enjoy its expansive emptiness along with their families.

Hither Hills State Park also features a campground where beachgoers can sleep just feet away from the shore.
