Police were called to West Hollow Middle School on Thursday to respond to a "swatting" incident.
Authorities say the district heard about a potential threat made by a student.
The message containing the threat came from an out-of-state phone number, according to the school.
The superintendent says they questioned a student and found the threat uncredible.
Similar incidents were also reported by Commack and North Bellmore districts over the past two weeks.
