West Babylon High School students got their taste of being in the military on Tuesday, taking part in the Army Fitness Challenge.
Local soldiers took over the physical education classes and taught the students team-building skills while competing against their classmates.
"There is more to the army than what we think,” said West Babylon HS gym teacher Gina Antonelli. “A lot of people have the connotation that the army is like if you're a bad kid, your parents send you to army. But there's so much more to the army."
Soldiers are also visiting other area schools to see which group performs the best.
