The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for Nassau and Suffolk counties through Thursday at 4 a.m.
News 12 meteorologists say to expect gusts up to 50 mph.
Tonight, expect showers and some scattered thunderstorms with strong winds and hail possible. Some heavy rain will lead to street flooding.
Temperatures tonight are expected to be around 48 degrees.
