Wind, rain and snow are expected across Long Island Tuesday evening.
Some patches of wet snowflakes and light rain developed in western Suffolk Tuesday evening. There was also heavy rain on the East End.
Motorists are urged to use caution on the roads, as they may be icy.
Forecasters say a coating to 1 inch of snow is possible. Temperatures are expected to drop to near 26 degrees overnight with wind chills between 15 and 20 degrees.
