FORECAST:
The forecast is primarily rain-free as conditions are anticipated to be beautiful. There will be lots of sunshine and fair conditions that suppress any active weather such as rain.
Highs this week start in the lower 80s and then gradually cool by Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday to the upper 60s and lower 70s. It will be beautiful no matter the day this week! Totally a winning week. Rain holds off for the foreseeable future as an area of high pressure is locked over the northeast and western Connecticut.
Tropical Storm Imelda and Hurricane Humberto will do a dance off of the Southeast coast. As Humberto and Imelda come close together, a meteorological phenomenon called the "Fuijiwhara Effect". This effect happens when two large storms get close enough where its wind fields cause them to orbit around a common point between them. Since Humberto is the stronger storm, it will likely slingshot Imelda out to the open ocean, sparring the southeast coast from a direct hit and lingering impacts.
