36ds agoHere’s what you need to know:
- It's a mild, calm and clear start to the day. Temperatures are in the upper 60s.
- Today will be a spectacular finish to the workweek. It's another sunny and warm day with highs in the low 80s.
- As the summer season comes to a close this weekend, a chill settles in with high temperatures falling to the low 70s. Overnight lows are in the 50s, near 60.
- The Autumnal Equinox officially begins Monday Sept. 22 at 2:19 p.m. On the Autumnal equinox, the sun crosses over the equator marking the start of astronomical Fall. This results in nearly equal day and night in the northern hemisphere.
- There are low chances of rain through next week. However, a frontal system will move through our area Tuesday evening into Wednesday bringing a slight chance for showers. Stay tuned for updates!
- TRACKING THE TROPICS: Tropical Storm Gabrielle is forecast to intensify to a hurricane by early next week as it makes its closest approach to Bermuda. It currently poses no threat to the US. Monday (Autumnal Equinox): Hello Fall! Mostly sunny, milder and tranquil. Highs near 76. Lows near 63.
Tuesday: Partly sunny, warmer and muggy. Chance of afternoon showers. Highs near 80. Lows near 66.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny, taste of summer, and noticeably humid. Highs near 78. Lows near 63.
Thursday: Mostly sunny, near seasonable and slightly humid. Highs near 75. Lows near 64.
