A $24 million renovation to the Wantagh Long Island Rail Road train station is not impressing a lot of the commuters who use that station.
Riders complain to Newsday the renovation work is shoddy.
They say concrete has been patched instead of replaced, and add that the new elevator is frequently out-of-service - with people trapped on it Friday.
Commuters say the waiting room doors blew off during a recent storm.
The railroad says new doors will be installed, and the contractor has been fixing problems with the elevator.
