Vaccine appointments at state-run vaccination sites across New York are now offering walk-ins for all those who are eligible.
That means anyone 16+ can get their first dose on a first come, first serve basis.
The state-run sites where this now goes into effect on Long Island are at Suffolk Community College in Brentwood, SUNY Old Westbury, SUNY Stony Brook, Stony Brook Southampton and Jones Beach.
The big move comes after months of people struggling to book vaccine appointments, but now the process has changed greatly.
According to the New York state website, over 1.1 million Long Island residents have gotten at least one dose of the vaccine so far.
An appointment still needs to be made in order to get your second dose.
If you have an appointment and are worried about waiting if it does get busy, priority is given to those that booked appointments.
Nassau Executive Laura Curran says that the county-run site at Nassau Community College is also offering walk-ins for those 18+ from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
