Want to make history come to life? Volunteers are needed for Long Island's only three Revolutionary War reenactment units as memberships dwindle.
The groups say they rely on volunteers to keep units moving forward. They say they need help fast with the 250th anniversary of our nation approaching.
"Moving towards these 250th anniversaries, we're going to reflect on what does it mean to be an American? What does it mean to have the freedom and liberties that we all take for granted? says Patrick Mantle, commander of the Huntington Militia. "It all started with the people we're portraying. If you want to be a part of that story, you have to join us now."
