A man has been arrested for a stabbing at a home in Suffolk County on Sunday night.
Dashaun Simmons, 39, of Central Islip, got into an argument with a male relative inside his residence, according to police.
The altercation escalated to Simmons stabbing the man and then fleeing the scene.
Detectives tell News 12 the incident happened around 10:30 p.m. inside the house on Connetquot Avenue in Central Islip.
The 34-year-old victim sustained a laceration to his torso and was taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Simmons will face second degree assault charges when he is arraigned in First District Court on Monday.
