Thousands of racers took off from Eisenhower Park in different races at the Jovia Long Island Marathon this weekend.
Many of the runners had big smiles as they crossed the finish line. One runner from Rockville Centre told News 12 this was the first marathon he had run in, having only trained for two weeks before the run.
The winner of this year's marathon was Scott Bickard from Bethpage.
