Boxes of medical supplies were donated to the North Massapequa Fire Department after a Christmas morning fire that destroyed most of their supplies.
The fire at the North Massapequa Fire Department headquarters severely damaged the 86-year-old firehouse and several vehicles.
St. Joseph's Hospital donated boxes of medical supplies, including stethoscopes, tourniquets, syringes and batteries to replace the ones destroyed by the fire.
As News 12 has reported, dozens of agencies have stepped in to help the North Massapequa Fire Department by donating loaner fire engines, a ladder truck and an ambulance.
The South Farmingdale Fire Department gave the displaced firefighters a temporary building to store their rigs and gear rent-free.
