A disturbing video obtained from inside NYDogWorks in Oceanside appears to show a dog being abused by its trainer.
The footage was shared online by Thomas Marrone, of Oceanside, who says his dog was also beaten by the same trainer. He says he released the video in order to alert other dog owner whose pets may still in the care of NYDogWorks.
"It's really scary that someone would do this to a dog," Marrone told News 12 Long Island. "Especially someone that is trained to deal with dogs."
The Nassau SPCA says it is aware of the video and is investigating.
News 12 reached out to NYDogWorks for comment, but have not heard back.
According to its website, NYDogWorks offers all types of training, including behavior therapy, trick training and personal protection training.
