Residents in Albertson are still without power this morning after yesterday's storm knocked out the utility around midnight Monday.
The ongoing outage is impacting Fairview Drive, Birch Hill, The Dell and several surrounding streets.
Neighbors said strong storms have historically taken a toll on power on these blocks, but many said their frustration is the lack of communication.
News 12 reported last night that the estimated restoration time was 10:30 p.m. Monday, but it is currently under assessment again this morning.
In total, 40,000 people lost power since Saturday's storms.
Everyone who went down over the weekend has been restored and any active outages occurred yesterday, according to PSEG Long Island.
About 1,000 customers were without power as of 3 a.m.; that number was down to around 500 by 5 a.m.
Last night, PSEG Long Island officials said crews responded to 400 downed trees and are still working 16-hour shifts to restore power to customers affected by the most recent storm.
News 12 reached out to the utility company this morning for another update and is waiting to hear back.
