A special socially-distant holiday version of "The Nutcracker" was performed at the Vanderbilt Museum in Centerport Friday.
Long Islanders enjoyed a stroll along one of the attractions -- a tunnel with more than 4,000 lights.
Dancers, like from Northport's Posey School of Dance, performed socially distanced excerpts of The Nutcracker.
Organizers hope this event will lift spirits during the holiday season dampened by the pandemic.
"We were trying to figure out something to do that was COVID safe and could bring the community back to the museum," said Sarah Beutel, event coordinator for Vanderbilt Museum.
