A man was killed in a crash in Middle Island on Tuesday.

Cyle Ashby, 53, of Medford, was operating a 2020 Vande Excelsior motorcycle when he lost control, Suffolk police say.

The incident happened on Ashton Road near Sylvia Lane around 7 p.m.

Ashby was traveling southbound on Ashton when he left the roadway and struck multiple trees, according to police.

The victim was taken to NYU Langone Hospital – Suffolk in Patchogue where he was pronounced dead.
