Police are searching for the vandals who sprayed anti-Latino graffiti on stores in a Bay Shore strip mall. Many of the merchants in the South Shore Plaza Shopping Center on Sunrise Highway are Latino.

Police are searching for the vandals who sprayed anti-Latino graffiti on stores in a Bay Shore strip mall.
Many of the merchants in the South Shore Plaza Shopping Center on Sunrise Highway are Latino. They feel they were specifically targeted by the vandals.
"You can see I'm Hispanic, and four of the five businesses here in the center, we are Hispanic," says Andy Cruz of Sunrise Furniture. "So, we feel we are targeted."
Business owners believe a fire that was started behind the building three weeks ago could be related to the graffiti.
