Tenants of a Valley Stream apartment building finally had their parking lot plowed five days after last week's blizzard.
News 12 Long Island was on Dubois Avenue Tuesday where the building's parking lot was still covered in snow. Some people who live in the building near the parking lot told News 12 they were upset because it is the building's responsibility to take care of the lot.
Jeana Cohen lives in one of the apartments and says she couldn't get her car out for the past few days. Cohen says she had to pay for Ubers to get to work or rely on friends to help her get there.
"I can't pull out of the lot, obviously, because there is a mountain of snow over there that I can't get past," said Cohen.
Other people who live in the building say they also called the management company, asking why the parking lot was still covered with snow.
News 12 called the management company, was put on hold, and was then hung up on. After calling back, the woman who answered insisted the lot had already been plowed. Thirty minutes later a plow showed up to do the job.
