Sexual assault concerns are keeping midshipmen at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point on dry land.
The academy is suspending a program that sends midshipmen to work on commercial vessels in international waters.
News 12 reported last month that a female cadet claimed a supervisor assaulted her aboard a commercial ship in the Middle East.
Rep. Tom Suozzi and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand are calling for an immediate investigation.
