An upstate man is facing DWI charges after crashing into parked police vehicles in Valley Stream, police say.
According to police, Richard Welch, 59, was driving his pickup truck on South Central Avenue Monday when he hit two Nassau County patrol vehicles.
No one was inside, but they were badly damaged.
Welch was taken to the hospital and will face a judge when medically practical.
