Thanksgiving may be over, but volunteers are coming together to make sure homeless veterans have a warm meal to eat.
Uncle Guisseppe's in Smithtown hosted its annual Thanksgiving Dinner for Homeless Vets on Saturday. Organizers came together to package around 150 holiday meals.
Then, the dinners were delivered to 16 homeless veteran shelters across Nassau and Suffolk.
The group also prepares food for other holidays like Christmas, Hanukkah and Easter.
