There’s a new place to grab your groceries on Nassau’s North Shore.

Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace officially opens the doors of their latest location in Greenvale Friday.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. at the market in Wheatley Plaza on Glen Cove Road at Northern Boulevard.

As News 12 reported, a speed-hiring event was held last month to find 250 employees for the store.

The company says this is part of its broader plan to hire about 1,000 team members over the next 12 months as Uncle Giuseppe's continues to grow across the Northeast, into New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

The supermarket positions include bakers and bread makers, cake decorators, butchers, seafood mongers, pizza makers, pasta and mozzarella makers, and other culinary and fresh-food specialists.

"Our team members are the heart and soul of every Uncle Giuseppe's," said Carl DelPrete, CEO and co-founder of Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace. "We are a company that believes in made fresh, sold fresh every day in every store, and it takes hardworking, dedicated people who care about the food and care about the customers.”

The store will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
