Tropical Storm Fay brought heavy rains and wind gusts throughout Long Island Friday.
Heavy rains forced drivers to slow down on slippery roadways in places like Massapequa as trees were seen blowing from high winds.
Hempstead Town Supervisor Don Clavin helped clear a downed tree near Cottage Street and Northern Parkway in Uniondale.
He says it's important to keep the roads clear for first responders and essential workers to come through.
Some residents may also have suffered power outages because of the storm.
PSEG Long Island had crews working through the night to handle any downed trees and outages.
Residents can report an outage by calling 1-800-490-0075 or texting the word "OUT" to PSEGLI if they are pre-registered.
