The trial against a Nassau County pet store which is accused of selling sick dogs has started.
The suit claims the store unlawfully and deceptively sold sick pets and then refused to reimburse customers for veterinarian bills.
Thirty-three people are expected to take the stand and discuss their experiences with the stores.
Attorney Richard Hamburger says Shake A Paw has sold over 80,000 dogs, has been in business for over 30 years and has many happy customers.
The lawsuit is seeking restitution for consumers and civil penalties for the business.
