Long Island's transgender community staged a protest in front of a Holbrook pub Friday after a transgender woman says she was mistreated there.
Andi Dier says she tried getting into the Irish Times Pub on Main Street when a pub worker questioned the validity of her ID. Dier says she told the worker she was transgender and claims he was rude to her and used transphobic slurs.
Dier claims other employees shoved her into the wall and the pub's door and tried to smash her phone.
Dier and her supporters at the protest say they're hoping to get an apology from the pub. Staff at the Irish Times Pub told News 12 Long Island there were not any managers available for comment.
