Town officials say more than 170 tons of dead bunker fish have been removed from the bay and shoreline in Southampton.
The bunker fished washed up after a fish kill in the Shinnecock Canal a couple of weeks ago.
Residents have been complaining of an awful odor.
The bulk of the fish are being taken to a town composting facility.
