Police say a toddler was airlifted to the hospital in Southampton on Friday following an accident.
Officials say the 2-year-old got out of her car seat and opened the door, while her mother was pulling out of a gas station on County Road 39.
When the mom turned around to get the child she accidentally hit the gas, causing the car to go through a fence.
There is no word on the child's condition.
