Christmas came early Saturday for more than 700 underprivileged children from around Long Island.
The Freedom Chapel and the Teen Challenge Outreach Mission came together in Amityville to provide gifts for children, as well as a visit from Santa Claus.
During the event, children received a free lunch and a Christmas stocking filled with toys. Also, 150 new bikes were given away.
Organizers say they want the kids to come away from the event not only with gifts, but the joy of the Christmas season.
