Catching a flight this season doesn't have to mean catching a cold.

Centers for Disease Controls consultant Dr. Phyllis Kozarsky says staying healthy among crowds during the holidays means going back to the basics.

Kozarsky advises travelers to get flu shots and wash their hands carefully. She says that surfaces like handrails, tray tables and seat pockets can have a lot of germs, so carry hand sanitizer or disinfectant wipes.
