Tips for holiday pet adoptions from the North Shore Animal League

The North Shore Animal League recommends taking into account the type of activity level you want your pet to have.

If you are considering buying your child a pet as a present this year, the North Shore Animal League wants to remind you that an animal is more than a gift.
"If you want to make it a gift adoption, we suggest you wrap up a collar or a toy or a bowl or something to that effect and explain now we can go as a family and pick out the right proper pet, that will meet what we're looking for. Meet with your adoption counselors. Do some research," says Anthony Angioletti, of North Shore Animal League.
