Thousands of PSEG customers lost power throughout the day Saturday as a coastal storm packing strong winds battered Long Island.
According to the PSEG Long Island website, as many as 7,600 outages were reported at one point. The number fluctuated throughout the day.
Wind gusts of 20 to 30 mph are expected to continue into Sunday morning. Downed trees have been reported in places like Smithtown and Stony Brook.
PSEG has said it has crews in position to address outages from the storm.
