The Riverhead Little League's concession stand has been broken into for a second time, to the dismay of the team's leaders and parents.

The shed and concession stand was broken into on Tuesday night. The thief or thieves made off with the cash register and a small amount of money, along with some candy.

Little League President Tony Sammartano says the worst break-in happened back in April, right after opening day. Someone broke into the stand by crow-barring the doors, and stole baseball equipment, sweatshirts, T-shirts, cash and food. That time, more than $1,000 worth of cash and equipment were taken.

To raise money to buy a new cash register, the Little League is holding a yard sale every Saturday for the rest of the season to sell leftover clothing.
