The staff at Good Samaritan Hospital helped make a dream come true for a terminally ill patient Wednesday.
Cancer patient Keith Borum, of Lake Ronkonkoma, exchanged vows in his hospital room with his girlfriend of three years, Nina Scott.
Nurses and family members, dressed in hospital gowns, packed Borum's room to witness a memorable celebration of true love.
"We know they didn't have the means to do exactly what they wanted, so we all just came together. We had flowers donated, cakes donated, we raised money for the rings," said Christina Ware, a Good Samaritan nurse.
Nurses told News 12 that they consider Borum and Scott part of their extended family.
