Emotions ran high for parents and students of Woodland Middle School in East Meadow as an eighth-grade boy was allegedly sodomized with a drumstick.

Nassau police confirm an investigation has been opened, but decline to reveal details. Students say the victim was held down by at least one teammate from the wrestling squad when the attack occurred in the locker room Tuesday. According to police, the boy sustained internal injuries.

Parents say they're furious at the school district. School administrators and the superintendent's office refused comment and many parents say they first heard of the incident Friday.
