A teacher at the Long Island School for the Gifted is answering to child porn charges Wednesday.

Michael Reiner, of East Meadow, teaches fourth, fifth, and sixth-grade at the school located in Huntington.

According to a complaint filed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Reiner was attempting to cross the border into Canada last month when he was stopped. His laptop computer was searched. According to the complaint, of the 45,000 pictures found on Reiner?s laptop, about 1,000 were of boys ages 4 to 16 in sexually suggestive poses.

The Long Island School for the Gifted says it doesn?t know anything more than the fact that Reiner has been detained.
