It's Tasty Tuesday, and also a time of year when families are really on the go!
News 12 Long Island's Elisa DiStefano got a look at some simple snacks you can make for the kids.
Liza Hubert, from Sage Spoonfuls, showed us how to make popcorn chickpeas and some delicious yogurt to add to your squeeze pouches.
RECIPES:
Take 2 cans of pre-cooked organic chickpeas.
Dry them off with paper towels so that they are really dry. Put them in a big baking dish so they spread out in a single layer.
Add 1-2 tablespoons of organic olive oil and a pinch of garlic salt.
Mix it all up – and keep it in one layer.
Bake in 450 degree oven for 30-40 minutes, checking on it every ten minutes, so they are super crispy.
Cool & enjoy!
Take 1 to 2 cups of yogurt (can be organic, coconut milk, almond milk - your choice!)
Add fresh peach cut up in small cubes.
Add a handful of fresh strawberries & a sprinkle of hemp seeds.
Pulse in a blender.
Pour into your squeeze pouch & enjoy!
