A Syosset family says they are concerned for their safety because cars keep rolling through a stop sign on their street.
The family, who lives at the corner of Elderberry Lane, says cars have been going through the stop sign at the end of their driveway for more than a year and nothing is being done about it.
Nassau County police were called in to watch, and in one hour 13 drivers who didn’t stop at the sign were ticketed.
The homeowner, who didn’t want to share his name, says he's not sure what the solution is, but says one day someone is going to get hurt or killed.

“The unfortunate thing is something terrible is going to happen, an accident is going to occur, someone is going to get injured,” he says.
In a statement, Nassau County police said that traffic summonses are up 16 percent since 2010. The department says it will continue to enforce all vehicle and traffic law violations on Elderberry Road, and around the county.
