An SUV crashed into a Syosset barbershop on Friday, sending two people to the hospital.
Police say the driver lost control and wound up careening into the Prestige Barbers on Jackson Avenue around 4:45 p.m.
Shop owner Rafael Haimov says the ordeal was frightening, and that he had to get workers and customers out of the way when he saw the Ford barreling toward them.
One employee and a customer were taken to the hospital. Police say their injuries were minor.
Haimov says the young driver, who is also one of his clients, may have experienced some sort of mechanical failure with his vehicle.
So far, police say there is no criminality in the incident.
