News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Sam Augeri says there is a slight chance for some showers to start the weekend.
WHAT'S NEW: Today was the warmest day of the year so far! Islip hit 85 degrees which is two degrees shy of the record. On April 13th and 14th we hit 84 degrees. No major changes to the forecast. Slight chance for a spot shower on Saturday with warm temperatures. Mother's Day clears with sunshine and beautiful weather.
WHAT'S NEXT: Overall the quiet weather pattern lasts through next week. We may get a couple of showers Tuesday night into Wednesday otherwise it's dry with highs in the 60s to near 70.
