News 12 Storm Watch Meteorologist Sam Augeri says there will be warmer weather Thursday before the possibility for showers on Friday.

-Warmer weather for Thursday with highs in the 60s to near 70! The record high at Islip is 69 degrees set in 2012.
-Partly sunny on Friday with the chance of a passing shower in the morning and again late in the day.
-Most of the weekend will be dry and a touch cooler. Chance for a brief shower early Sunday.
-Spring begins next Tuesday and it will turn a little bit cooler but nice for much of the week.
