Long Island is cleaning up from the aftermath of Wednesday's powerful storm.
The Island was hit with strong winds, thunder, lightning and flooding. Parts of Long Island saw as much as three inches of rain.
The storm also wreaked havoc on transportation. Numerous downed trees crushed cars and blocked roads across the Island. The Long Island Rail Road was forced to suspend service in and out of Jamaica for at least two hours and Penn Station was briefly closed to prevent overcrowding.
LIPA reported as many as 21,000 customers were without power due to the storm.
